Muscle cells contract and relax using electrical signals—and electrolyte balance is key. When you're dehydrated, those signals go haywire, which leads to painful spasms.

Fixes:

  • Water with a pinch of sea salt or electrolyte tabs

  • Coconut water for potassium

  • Magnesium-rich foods like spinach or almonds
