Three Months Left in the Year—What Can You Accomplish?

It’s hard to believe, but we’re down to the last three months of the year. You might be thinking, “What can I really accomplish in such a short time?” Well, a lot more than you might expect. Here’s why the last 90 days of the year can be your most productive yet:

  • Laser Focus: With a clear time frame, it’s easier to set specific, realistic goals. Whether it’s losing 10 pounds, adding strength to your lifts, or improving your mobility, 12 weeks is more than enough time to see real progress.

  • Build Momentum into the New Year: Instead of waiting for January 1st to make changes, use these last months to build habits that will carry you into the new year with a head start. By the time the calendar flips, you’ll already have routines locked in.

  • Stay Consistent During the Holidays: The holiday season is notorious for derailing fitness goals, but by setting intentions now, you can keep yourself on track even when celebrations pop up. It’s about making small, consistent efforts rather than trying to be perfect.

So, don’t write off the rest of the year. Set a goal, stay consistent, and finish strong!

FROM RYAN’S DESK

Setbacks are part of the process, but quitting is a choice. The strongest people aren’t the ones who never fall—they’re the ones who get back up, every time. Be the guy who keeps moving forward, no matter how many times he’s knocked down. That’s how real results are achieved.

Question from Our Readers:

“I’ve been working a lot lately and barely have time for the gym. How can I make my workouts more efficient?”

  • Jake, 43, Marketing Director, from New York, NY

Hey Jake, I hear you! When time is tight, it’s all about maximizing the time you do have. Here are a few ways to make sure your workouts pack a punch even if you’re short on time:

  • Focus on Compound Movements: Exercises like squats, deadlifts, and presses work multiple muscle groups at once, giving you more bang for your buck in less time.

  • Try Supersets: Pair exercises back-to-back with little to no rest in between. This not only saves time but also keeps your heart rate up, helping you burn more calories.

  • Use HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training): Instead of long cardio sessions, try short bursts of high-intensity exercises followed by brief rest periods. A 20-minute HIIT session can be as effective as 45 minutes of steady-state cardio.

Even with a busy schedule, you can still make progress if you focus on efficiency!

Did You Know?:

Muscle Mass Directly Impacts Longevity

It’s not just about looking good—building and maintaining muscle mass plays a crucial role in how long and well you live. Studies show that people with more muscle mass have a lower risk of mortality as they age. Muscle strength helps you stay mobile, reduce the risk of falls, and keep up with the demands of daily life. So, next time you lift, remember: you’re not just building muscle, you’re building years onto your life.

Fit Trivia: Which actor trained with Navy SEALs to prepare for a role in an action film?

Answer: Keanu Reeves! Known for his role as John Wick, Keanu trained extensively with Navy SEALs to learn tactical gun handling, martial arts, and endurance to perform his own stunts in the John Wick franchise.
