Macros are the key🔑

Let's face it: getting in shape often seems about as fun as a root canal. But what if I told you that mastering the art of macros is like holding the cheat codes to fitness? Here are three reasons why:

  1. The Lifestyle Approach: One of the most significant downsides of getting in shape is not being able to eat out now and then or eat an unexpected meal. Understanding macros will allow you the flexibility of fitting in those meals while staying in your macro range. It's like being the Houdini of diets, magically fitting in the foods you love without derailing your fitness goals.

  2. Not All Calories Are Created Equal: It’s the type of calories you are having that matters. A balanced intake of proteins, fats, and carbs ensures you're burning fat and building muscle efficiently. It's not just about eating less but eating right.

  3. Cravings: Canceled: Our clients are a testament to this - when you hit your macro goals, cravings vanish. It's about giving your body what it needs, so those late-night fridge raids become a thing of the past.

If getting in shape feels like a chore, maybe it's time to let macros lead the dance. If you want to know more about how macros work, you can check out this video by Ryan.

Have any regrets?

“If I did something at the time, that’s what I thought was right — so I have no regrets.”

I heard someone say that once and loved it.

All the time behind us is done and over. We shouldn’t ignore it because that’s throwing away your life lessons — and the tuition isn’t cheap.

Our outlook, though, should be future-focused. You should never want to turn back time because your life is lived in the future, never the past.

Women get same exercise benefit as men, with less effort - new study finds

Gentlemen, brace yourselves. It turns out, in the exercise, women might be outperforming us with less effort – or so says a new study.

Analyzing data from over 400,000 adults between 1997 and 2017, researchers found that while men are more likely to exercise, women gain more from it.

Women engaging in regular physical activity showed a 24% lower risk of death from any cause compared to inactive women, a greater benefit than the 15% risk reduction seen in active men.

Does spot fat reduction work?

We all have that one stubborn area where body fat seems to cling, and it's tempting to think we can target it specifically. However, the concept of spot reduction, the idea that you can reduce fat in one specific area of your body through targeted exercises, is a myth.

While targeted exercises can strengthen and tone the muscles in a specific area, they do not directly burn the fat that covers them. Body fat is lost from the entire body as a whole.

But don’t be discouraged; we are all designed to look great with the right body fat percentage. A holistic approach to strengthening your body, eating balanced and healthy combined with consistency, are key to your goals.

MYTH BUSTED.
